Deskripsi Tugas :
  • Receive the daily reports of every patients.
  • Upon take over report, to do ward round in the unit together with the team members to assess patient condition and to plan nursing care.
  • Report all abnormal findings and progress of patients to the relevant doctors / Consultants.
  • Participate in doctors/ consultants ward round and assist in doing procedures when required.
  • Carry out doctors’ / consultants’’ orders pertaining to care of patients and delegate tasks to other team members.
  • Participate in the care and administration of medication of medication in accordance with Hospital Policies and Procedures.
  • Responsible to abide Hospital Policies and Protocol for Transfusion of Blood and Blood Products.
  • Maintain the safety policy and inform Unit Manager / Staff Nurse In-Charge of any incidents and changes in circumstances which affect standards of care. Practice and report with effective documentation.
  • Establish and develop effective communication with all disciplines, patients and relatives, to achieve optimal patient satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular nursing rounds on all patients in the ward to ascertain for any additional needs/ to spend time and talk to them, as an integral part of providing psychological support.
  • Escort patients to the other hospitals / institution / home.
  • Attend to answer patient’s call bell promptly.
  • Contribute suggestion in periodic revising and upgrading Nursing Policies and Procedures.
  • Practice and ensure effective records / charging of procedures and supplies used in rendering patient care.
  • Assist in updating and recording accurately daily floor census, monthly statistic and other relevant record.
  • Check and maintain accurate record of DDA drugs with the incoming Nurse In-Charge every shift.
  • Operate specialized equipment assigned to the unit and provide assistance/ guidance pertaining of care and usage for all new staff.
  • Check resuscitation trolley every shift/ daily / emergency event and replenish the stock as needed.
  • Assist maintenance of instruments and equipment by proper cleaning, handling and utilizing as directed.
